Successful surgery for Red Bull KTM’s Jeffrey Herlings

KTM Racing has announced that Red Bull KTM Factory MX2 rider Jeffrey Herlings has undergone successful surgery to repair the injury he sustained in a crash in MX2 qualifying at the Loket circuit in the Czech Republic on Saturday.

A dislocated hip for Jeffrey Herlings

Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory Team has injured himself at round thirteen of the World Championship MX2 in Loket, Czech Republic. Herlings crashed behind a jump in the qualifying heat. Just when he wanted to jump back on his bike he was hit by Jordi Tixier and dislocated his hip.

Jeffrey Herlings gets the green light

Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory Team has got the green light from his doctor to start riding again. Herlings will do a testsession later today and when everything goes to plan he will race this weekend in the Czech Republic. After all his misfortune he is still leading the championship and has an advantage of 46 points over Tim Gajser.

Disappointment for Jeffrey Herlings in Sweden

The Red Bull KTM Factory team went to Sweden knowing it was a difficult task with key members still recovering from debilitating crashes. In MX2 Jeffrey Herlings, who broke a collarbone in a crash at Germany’s Teutschenthal two weeks ago was set to ride with a freshly plated fracture and in fact delivered an impressive performance in his opening MX2 moto.

Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory Team has had a successful surgery on his broken collarbone this morning. The plan is to be back racing at round eleven of the World MX2 Series in Uddevalla, Sweden in two weeks time. Jeffrey and the team will look day by day but normally he will be able to race in Sweden.

Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory Team crashed in the opening moto of the German Grand Prix coming out of a scrub on the first jump of his opening moto. He rode straight back to the pits holding his arm and the team later confirmed that he had broken his collarbone in what was assessed as a clean fracture.
