Jeffrey Herlings Finishes Second at Dutch Masters in Oldebroek

Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory Team finished second at the second round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Oldebroek. Herlings rode two consistent motos, finishing second and third. Herlings’ form continues to improve. He entered time practice in Oldebroek with high motivation. The track was in good condition, but due to heavy rainfall on Thursday, deep ruts quickly formed. Herlings went out several times to put in a fast lap and eventually set the third-fastest time.A strong start in the first moto allowed Herlings to quickly move into second place. He followed Romain Febvre closely and managed to stay with him for much of the race. In the closing stages, Herlings had to drop back slightly and settled for a solid second-place finish. In the second moto, his start wasn’t as sharp, but he worked his way up to third early on. He immediately began to pressure Jago Geerts for second, making several attempts to pass. However, Geerts held his ground, and Herlings ultimately crossed the line in third, securing second overall for the day. Jeffrey Herlings commented:“It was a good day. We’re getting closer to the top. Of course, there’s still a lot of work to do, but things are looking positive. We’re continuing to build, and hopefully, we can get back into the top five in the upcoming Grands Prix.” Herlings is set to compete this Thursday in an international race in Austreberthe, France, and will race again the following weekend at the seventh round of the MXGP World Championship in Águeda, Portugal. Jeffrey Herlings Comes Close to a top 3 podium finish at MXGP of Switzerland

Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team came close to a top-three finish during the sixth round of the MXGP World Championship, held in Frauenfeld, Switzerland. After a poor start in the first moto, Herlings struggled to move forward and had to settle for 14th place. In the second moto, he held third position until the final lap, when he collided with a lapped rider and ultimately finished fourth. For Herlings, this was only his third major race since returning to competition. He is steadily building form and his rhythm is improving week by week. This progress was already visible on Saturday, as he posted an impressive fourth-fastest time in the time practice. He also performed well in the qualifying heat, starting inside the top three and holding fourth place for much of the race. However, due to severe arm pump, he couldn’t push at full speed and lost a few positions in the closing stages, finishing seventh. The races in Switzerland were held on Monday. In the first moto, Herlings got off to a poor start. The Frauenfeld track made overtaking difficult, and despite fighting all the way to the checkered flag, he could do no better than 14th. The second moto told a different story. This time, Herlings had a good start and was part of the front-running group from the beginning. He held third place for a long time, but contact with a lapped rider in the final lap cost him third place and dropped him to fourth. Jeffrey Herlings commented:“Overall, it was a pretty good weekend. I had a terrible start in the first moto and it was tough to pass on this track, so I couldn’t really make up ground. The second start was much better, and I was able to hold third place for a long time. It’s a shame I came into contact with a lapped rider, otherwise I could’ve finished third. It’s only my fourth week back on the bike, and things are going well. Of course, we want more than a seventh place, but the other riders have more races under their belts already. Portugal has always been a tricky track for me, but we’re working hard every week to keep improving. The goal is to find more race rhythm and hopefully break into the top five there.” With a 14-4 moto score, Herlings secured seventh place overall in the day’s classification. His next race will be this Saturday during the second round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Oldebroek. Jeffrey Herlings Makes Progress in MXGP of Trentino

Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory team is back in the top ten. During the fifth round of the MXGP World Championship in Arco di Trento, Italy, Herlings finished tenth and eleventh in the motos, earning him ninth overall in the day’s standings. The goal was once again to gain as much rhythm and speed as possible. On Saturday, he steadily built up his pace. He posted the 17th fastest time in time practice and finished 22nd in the qualifying race. Naturally, Herlings was determined to improve in Sunday’s motos. Rain had fallen on Sunday morning, which resulted in more lines forming on the track. Herlings rode a consistent first moto and crossed the finish line in tenth place. In the second moto, he spent a long time inside the top ten, but due to a lack of race rhythm, he struggled in the final phase and had to give up a few positions, finishing eleventh. Jeffrey Herlings commented: “Not bad for an old guy who’s only been back on the bike a few times. We’ll keep working and build from here. We’ll see what we can do in Switzerland. I want to give my best every weekend.” Next weekend, the next Grand Prix will take place in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.

Jeffrey Herlings starts building at the MXGP of Sardinia

Jeffrey Herlings from the Red Bull KTM Factory team made a positive start to his return to the World Championship. Herlings struggled with arm pump in the first moto and had to settle for 20th place. In the second moto, he showed his potential by leading a few laps and eventually finishing in 7th place. After the Spanish/French Grand Prix double, MXGP had a week to recuperate before Italian back-to-back fixtures with distinct flavors. First-up for Red Bull KTM was the Grand Prix of Sardinia around the compact, sandy course on the island that serves as a popular off-season training site. In contrast to Cozar and St Jean D’Angely in recent weeks, the climate was stable on the western tip of the Sardinian territory. Red Bull KTM welcomed all-time record wins holder Jeffrey Herlings back in the awning for the Dutchman’s return to world championship competition and where he steers the KTM 450 SX-F for the eighth consecutive season. Herlings didn’t get the best start in the first moto and weathered arm-pump to ride to 20th. Herlings had a decent getaway in the second moto and led the first three laps of 18 before guiding the #84 KTM across the line in 7th; a result earned with less than a week of saddle time after a six-month lay-off. The Italian theme for MXGP continues this week as the series moves to the mainland and to the north for the Grand Prix of Trentino. The hardpacked Pietramurata circuit in Arco di Trento and close to Lake Garda will stage round five of the championship! Jeffrey Herlings, 20th and 7th for 15th overall in MXGP: “We decided at the last minute to come to this race and use it as the best practice. Yes, a P20 can hurt but…I think it was just my sixth day on the bike after six months. So, for the circumstances I think it was quite good today. It was the first time I’d done a 35-minute moto! We got some points and finishing 7th in the second moto was quite good. Now just to build and get better every single week. Step-by-step now.” Results MXGP Sardinia 2025
